In the summer of 1950, Ransom and Lois Brown traveled east on Missouri Route 66 from Springfield to St. Louis, looking for a location for their new family shoe store. As they stumbled upon Washington, Missouri they found their dream town for business and family. Now, 59 years later, Brown's Enterprises is keeping that dream alive and growing with the same foundation of service and dedication. What started as one Brown's Family Shoe Store in August 1950 in downtown Washington has now grown into 6 brick and mortar store locations, Brown's Catalog distributed throughout the United States, BrownsCatalog.com and our Distribution Center providing stock and shipping for all locations.
